Subscriptions

Memberships are billed monthly and auto-renew until you cancel. You can cancel anytime via the link in your Square receipt email — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and gives you access through that date.

All sales are final and we do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months. If you have a billing dispute, contact Square support directly or email us and we'll help mediate.

We may adjust pricing or class offerings with at least 30 days written notice (email) to active members.

Code of Conduct

The studio is a respectful training environment. We expect:

• Mutual respect among students regardless of skill level, age, gender, race, or background.
• No harassment, discrimination, or threatening behavior.
• Compliance with instructor direction during class — instructors have final authority on technique, safety, and floor management.
• Personal hygiene appropriate for close-contact training (clean uniform, trimmed nails, no open wounds without coverage).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership for violations, with or without refund of the current period's fees depending on severity.

Liability Waiver

Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu involve physical contact, dynamic movement, and inherent risk of injury including (but not limited to) sprains, strains, bruises, joint injury, and rare but possible serious harm. By training with us you acknowledge these risks and accept them voluntarily.

You agree to release Abolição Training Center, its instructors, staff, and other students from liability for injuries arising from ordinary participation in training. This waiver does not cover gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

If you have a medical condition that affects your ability to train safely, please disclose it to the head instructor before your first session.

Age Policy

Children under 18 require a parent or legal guardian to consent to membership and to sign the liability waiver. The Family All Access tier covers attendees living in the same household. Kids classes are age-segmented (typically 5-15).

Photo & Video Release

The studio occasionally captures photo and video during class, events, and rodas for promotional or community-archive purposes. By training with us you grant permission to use such media. If you prefer to be excluded, let us know in writing and we will honor that request.
