Abolição Training Center is dedicated to exceptional training in capoeira and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. We opened with a vision of a welcoming place for people of every age and skill level, where traditional and modern martial arts share one roof.
We believe martial arts are a path to physical fitness, mental discipline and personal growth. Our approach develops the whole person, physically, mentally and socially, through dedicated practice and a supportive community.
Our programs
Capoeira Abolição
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines movement, acrobatics and music. Developed by enslaved Africans in Brazil during the 16th century, it is known for fluid movement, ground technique and live percussion as integral parts of the practice. Capoeira Abolição preserves these traditions while offering structured training at every level.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a ground-fighting discipline focused on grappling and submission technique. Our program emphasizes technique over strength, which makes it accessible to every body type and fitness level. Students learn practical self-defense while building discipline, confidence and problem-solving.

Professor Coringa Conway
Head coach, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and capoeira
Professor Coringa leads both programs. He is a retired professional MMA fighter, and he is First Aid and CPR certified to keep you and your children safe.

Mestrando Alec “Jabu” Dasilva
Mestrando, capoeira
Mestrando Jabu brings extensive capoeira experience and cultural depth to our programs, with a focus on the Afro-Brazilian tradition that underpins the art. He co-leads capoeira classes alongside Professor Coringa.
